OCPS Happenings

Eight faculty and staff members of the Oglethorpe County Primary School were recently recognized by Dr. James-Robinson for having perfect attendance for the first semester of the 2016-2017 school year. For this achievement they were treated to a few small tokens of appreciation to include a restaurant gift card, a tumbler, a jeans pass, and an Early Release Incentive (ERI) which allows them to leave 30 minutes early one day of their choice.

OCPS Second Grade donated items for victims of the tornado disasters in South Georgia.

O.C.P.S. Celebrates Its (50th, 60th,70th, 80th, and 90th) Days of Teaching and Learning

50th Day: Who says you can't learn about math and look cool while doing it? The faculty, staff, and students of Oglethorpe County Primary School celebrated

their 50th day of teaching and learning by participating in a lot of great 50’s related activities. The many activities included a sock-hop, hula-hooping, enjoying

Coke Floats, taking customized photos, and even drawing vehicles from the 50’s such as the Thunderbird.  Also, the attire for the day was a blast from the

past (poodle skirts, white t-shirts, jeans, bobby socks, saddle oxfords, scarves, Letterman jackets, and etc.).  No one will soon forget the 50th day of the

2016-2017 school year!
